The Founders Alliance recognizes that the Primary Election is the best opportunity to reclaim our freedom.  In the current model the major parties, Republican and Democrat, essentially choose for themselves whatever candidate they wish to run in the General Election.  Because of low voter turnout there is little input from the general public and the results have been disastrous.

John McCain is the poster child of what is wrong with the Party picking the Candidates.  Time and again in races from county to national levels we are presented with a choice between fascist and fascist-lite when November arrives.  We are too often reduced to abstaining from voting, casting a protest vote, or voting for the lesser of two evils.  Beginning now, in preparation for 2012 that must change.

TFA has prepared a grassroots path to victory in the primaries involving tools and training usually reserved for candidates in the general election.  We will provide phone banks, targeted voter data, block walk materials, and training for both volunteers and candidates.

Many grassroots organizations have someone they believe would make a great citizen legislator, but this person may have little or no political experience.  More the better.  Our Primary Boot Camp will prepare both potential candidates and volunteers for the rigors and realities of running a campaign ground game on a shoestring budget.

Our goal is to place liberty loving candidates on the primary ballot for both Democratic and Republican parties if possible, but if necessary in the party most likely to be elected.  We who pay attention before casting a ballot are in a small minority at the hands of the ignorant couch potatoes who vote straight ticket without even knowing who is on the ballot or what they stand for.  Rather than continuing to be victimized by this reality we will turn it to our use.  Rather than the parties leaving us with a choice between two big-government bureaucrats in November we will leave them with a choice between two Constitutionalists.
