With dedication and the right info, a candidate can win on a shoe string budget. Block walking allows you to speak directly to voters, something many candidates don’t bother to do, especially when they are entrenched, long time incumbents. As a grassroots effort in Texas House District 12, we were able to knock on 7,000 doors in just 11 days with only a handful of dedicated volunteers. Although we started out in densely populated areas, we finished by going into areas where we were literally the only people who had ever block walked their neighborhoods. The results? Our Tea Party candidate won with a margin of victory of 16 points, triumphing over an incumbent who had enjoyed massive bipartisan support for over a decade.
There are multiple factors that ensure a successful block walk campaign:
TFA is dedicated to providing the necessary tools to develop these factors for a strong and inexpensive campaign both in the primaries and in the general election.
If you are interested in hosting a training seminar on how to utilize those tools to organize and execute a successful block walking campaign please send an email and we will contact you with details on scheduling.
