The Founders Alliance is a non-profit and non-partisan grassroots movement dedicated to reinstating the Constitution as the supreme law of the land. We are not affiliated with any party nor do we advocate third parties. We seek accountability from our elected leaders, legislation repealing federal tyranny, and the cultivation of a truly informed electorate. Based in Texas, our goal is a nationwide renaissance of the values and principles of our Founders that made this country great. Our motto is “Restoring the Republic – One State at a Time.”
Jessica Hughes is a native of coastal southern New Jersey, where she studied literature at Rutgers University. After a short time in the United States Marine Corps she married and is now a homeschooling mother of three. After moving to Texas in 2004 she became an advocate for freedom when an unwarranted visit from the Secret Service led her to question whether the liberty Americans cherish was truly secure. The author of Revolt: A Mandate to Restore the Constitution, she recently led a successful grassroots campaign to elect Tea Party Patriot James White (R-Woodville) to the Texas House of Representatives. As Executive Director of The Founders Alliance and leader of the East Texas Tea Party, Jessica is currently at work on her second book and is studying Austrian Economics online with the Ludwig von Mises University.

I met you in Nacogdoches at a meeting there. I wanted to share an idea with you that we have done locally. Since US Congressmen are elected by districts, we have decided to form a coalition of tea party leaders in District 6. We now have the CD-6 leadership group formed and have negotiated with Joe Barton to have quarterly meetings with him. It is easy for a congressman to dismiss the thoughts of a single small group, but we have a combined membership of over 1500 good patriotic folks in his district and he has to listen to us…….or we will replace him in 2012.

Hello, I am interested in knowing if there is a T.E.A. group in Shelby County Texas.
I know there are groups and/or individuals that go to Nacogdoches from Shelby County, however I would like to see meetings of the T.E.A. groups from Shelby County meet in Shelby County, – preferrably in Center, Tx.
Any information helpful,
Thank you,
Lessie
